Policy dialogue on international labour commitments related to child labour - the path to supply chain transparency in the context of international integration

22 October 2019 19:00-19:00 Hanoi

Child labor remains a global issue, especially in Southeast Asia and Vietnam in particular with occupations in agriculture, handicrafts or traditional work. Given the background of free trade agreements and international integration, solving the child labor issue in Vietnam requires strict labor policies from the state and coordination between parties to propagate extensively to all stakeholders, especially business households.

With extensive experience at ManpowerGroup, a global corporation built on strict regulations and policies against child labor abuse, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Operation Manager of Outsourcing and Staffing was honored to be the coordinator at the seminar "Policy dialogue on international labor commitments related to child labor - the path to supply chain transparency in the context of international integration" co-organized by Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the International Labor Organization on August 6th 2019. Attracted more than 60 international organizations, Vietnamese and foreign businesses, this is one of the key workshops in the process of repelling child labor in Vietnam.
